Forum Rules and Guidelines V2

These are just the general guidelines for you to follow. There can be instances where you might be warned/muted/banned for something not listed below as this is not an exhaustive list.

• Hacking / Cheating

Any form of hacking (aka 'cheating' by using a third party program to gain advantages) will NOT be tolerated and will result in a PERMANENT ban. So you better think twice before you start deleting posts and destroying headers because you will lose your Golden Hotel account and forum account! Don't even think about using a different account to cheat -- we will find you! Repeatedly asking for cheats is also a bannable offense. A permanent ban will also be issued to those who distribute links to hack.

• Spamming / Inappropriate Chat

If you are spamming the chat/thread or if you are swearing excessively, be prepared to get banned or warned! Other mutable offenses include: using derogatory words, general vulgarity, abusing caps lock, advertising, provocation, harassment, misleading players and promoting religious or political topics. However, speaking a language other than English is allowed in the community, as it's considered an international community. Should this bother you, feel free to click on the player's profile and select 'Block'.

• Discrimination

Racism is not allowed, and homophobia, as well as any racial or religious discrimination, will result in a ban. Period.

• Inappropriate Links and Sites

Do not share any inappropriate sites or any illegal content such as pirating or phishing websites or risk getting banned.

• Staff Impersonation

No. Staff impersonation will not be tolerated either. You should not claim to be a mod on forums, nor should you create an account called Mod-xxx and pretend to be a mod. A ban will be issued accordingly.

• Phishing

Any attempts to acquire another user's password (whether it be via linking to an external website, or impersonating a moderator, or simply asking over PM) can permanently ban you.

• Lag + Crash

Do not create any threads that are inappropriate and offensive, and can cause other users to lag or crash. If you intentionally create crash threads be prepared to receive a ban, and those who have offensive thread designs (e.g. ASCII swastikas) will be permanently banned from the forums.

• Inappropriate Account

Do not register an account with an inappropriate or offensive name, or you will get continually banned for name violation.

• Unfair Mutes and Bans

Once you've been muted or banned, it is recommended that you wait your time. Doing otherwise will result in a ban or warning for mute/ban evasion. If you have an issue with the penalty you've been given, take it up in forum PMs with a moderator.
